Professor Benedict Okey Oramah is the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), a position he has held since September 2015. With over two decades of experience in African trade finance, he has been instrumental in promoting intra-African trade and implementing initiatives that support the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). A Nigerian national, Prof. Oramah holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. He is widely recognized for his expertise in trade and development finance and has authored numerous publications on these subjects.
